DESCRIPTION
1. ADSS cables are stranded in loose tubes. Fibers of 250 μm were placed in a loose tube made of high modulus plastic.
2. The tube is filled with waterproof filling compound.
3. The tube (and filler) is twisted into a compact circular cable core around FRP (fiber reinforced plastic) as the non-metallic central strength member. After the cable core is filled with filler, it is covered with a thin inner sheath of PE (polyethylene).
4. After adding a layer of aramid yarn to the inner jacket as a reinforcement, the cable is completed with a PE or AT (anti-tracking) outer jacket.
